Walkabout

I suppose I really am a fair weather photographer.  It was pretty cold last week, but there were a few surprises on my travels in in the city.  I was not on my greatest of form in taking photographs, but here are few of the better pictures on my two hour walk. I was again using the Leica X1, which continues to struggle with focusing in low light.  There was a good programme on David Hockney's photo montages on T.V. last week, but I strongly disagree with the notion made by both Hockney and the author William Boyd made concerning that the 'Western' single perspective of the camera is limiting compared to the multi-angle approach of the Cubists etc...  Does that make sculpture a better medium over painting, simply because it is three dimensional.  Anyway photography and music is disappearing off the high street, so good luck if you want to try out your next camera or accessories purchase to see if   they handle well for you. Not all the photos here have been edited  but for a blog... it will do. Perhaps not the best view of town.  I was in my 1984 frame of mind and should have made much more of an effort!  More portraits, but it was cold and rainy.... poor excuse
